PARENTS, MENTORS OR COUNSELORS:

You deserve recognition as well. You've laid the foundation of character that has led your daughter, son, or student to consider the rigors of the Estelle & Alfonso COMPETITION TEAMS. Now we would like you to be involved in the milestones ahead, including the decision to join their peers, supporting the dancers on the team and attending the competitions ahead. The decision to become a competition dancer affects your family and talking with your dancer throughout the decision process will be valuable for both of you. Here are some important next steps.

BE PREPARED: read the handout information and watch your daughter, son or student dance on the monitors in the lobby. We encourage you to listen and find out why they're interested in becoming a Competition Dancer. There are many reasons, and you can help them understand aspects of the commitment they may not have considered yet. We are serious about dance and creating award winning performers capable of college scholarship opportunities. We desire to make a difference, instill pride, challenge, legacy and a sense of belonging. We look to take a rising dance star and have them put the dancer to their left & right ahead of themselves because as a competitive unit we will work as one while shinning brightest individually. Competition Team dancing is not easy, but the rewards are numerous and the personal development is invaluable. Throughout the journey, your daughter, son or student will thrive on your support and you are strongly encouraged to attend all competitions where you will see them as a young woman or man indisputably transformed. Yours is the voice in the cheering audience they will always remember. Becoming a Competition Dancer can strengthen the bond between you and your dancer so enter the journey together.

No matter the reason for their interest, rest assured they have been selected because we seek out the best young talents who already have a solid foundation of character, as established by your parenting or mentorship. The lasting character and leadership traits are the greatest promise the Estelle & Alfonso COMPETITION TEAMS have to offer your dancer. The qualities that have been reinforced by training and rehearsal are theirs to keep, for life and will benefit them as they ultimately turn attention to family, college, community and career. Your daughter, son or student will be self-reliant, disciplined and organized. All of these are qualities that will help him or her succeed on stage, in school, as a professional or leader of a home or family.
